Always loved Robert Duvall… He has played some great characters!
If you haven't seen Appaloosa. Another great scene from a "newer" western.
This is the scene I remember most from seeing this movie when it came out. The buildup is such you think it's going to be some kind of high noon, slap leather duel. Then, this happens. It was both surprising and yet much more believable at the same time.
This was one of my favorite moments from Open Range. Well played and understated, it sends a message that a lot of today's soy boys would do well to learn.
The "friend" ??
Kim Coates plays a fantastic villain. If you've ever seen The Last Boy Scout, a fun little movie, he's the guy Bruce Willis kills with a palm heel to the nose. "Touch me again and I'll kill ya."
