Opinions on the layout of firearms chat

Whenever I am looking around at how other sites do stuff I always see a lot of categories like rifles, shotguns, handguns, etc for discussion forums.

I like having one discussion forum just for all firearms, but what do you guys think? Would you rather have separate sections for handgun talk, shotgun talk, etc?

I wouldn't make any new forums right now but I just want to do some prep work in case we keep growing at the rate that we are.

A few choices may not be so bad, and it may keep some of the posts from getting lost, and having multiple posts on the same subject.(all of the LC9 threads)

I kinda like the single category. Seems to get more traffic than split up.

it would save time, but could get confusing.
maybe do Handguns, Long guns (shotys and modern bolts ie: 700, 77, 110), Black/Military Rifles? (military including the mosins, aks, and old euro rifles)

Definitely not changing anytime soon, just wanted to hear some opinions.

IMHO the forum is really "light" on shotguns, which are a really specialized area of interest for many.
It's hard to find post on them .. even if you know how!
