Optic on EDC or no?

Any good red dots coming out of Japan? I have a love for anything made in the US or the former Axis Powers 🙈 Ironic aint it?

Depends what kind of 'red dot' you mean.

For tube assemblies, you have Ultradot (http://ultradotusa.com) which last time I checked were made in Japan. They also make a reflex sight, but it looks like it's for a pic rail.

I have two of their tube sights on my bullseye pistols, and the build quality is exceptional.

Anyone recommend anyone to cut a slide for an RMR ?

Could always go with Jagerwerks. But honestly RMR cuts are so common you can pretty much find any one. You could also get a Zev duty slide. (if it’s a Glock)

They did the rmr cut on my g19 before I got it.
May get them to do another down the line.

If you can put a red dot on it do it and for the money I would go with a holosun I’ve never had a problem out of any of there optics the 507kx2 and other models you can change the reticle to three different options they are half the price of a trijicon I was honestly surprised I’ve put 150 rounds through this 44 and it’s held perfect zero I’ve shot 305 grain out of it as well
