I have been looking at a Vortex Strike Eagle 1-6x24. I was looking at it for my AR, but have been thinking about slapping one on my M1A. Has anyone tried that? How'd it do?

I second that question! I've been considering one of these as well. Would love to hear about clarity at 6x

Can't speak for the Strike Eagle
But I have a Leupold VX Hog 1.5 on my 450 Bushmaster and it is awesome!!
Only a 4 power but for where I hunt it's. Ore than I need
And it has the ballistic plex

So I would hesitate for a second to buy it
You'll be happy with it

Thanks. That is another choice. My eyes are getting old, so I might need that extra 2x though...

Thanks, Viper. I will look at it. My eyes are getting old, so I might need that extra 2x though...

I have one. It's a lot bigger and heavier than I would have expected. I still don't much care for the reticle, but the glass is pretty clear. I do like that it's 1-6 which is the whole reason I bought it. I don't think I'll buy another one though, it's just a shame to make a light rifle heavy and bulky. Probably ok on somethign bigger than an AR.
