I've got a 22Sparrow already, and that sucker is quiet. However, I can't help but drool over an integral & ported 10/22. I really want to be able to shoot bulk pack ammo and keep it subsonic. I'd like to be able to break it down completely for cleaning. I'd also like for it to be as accurate as I can be, but still keep bulk pack subsonic. I've read that heavy porting can affect accuracy, but I'm not sure if that's completely true or not.

Anybody out there have some first hand experience they'd like to share? So far, I keep coming back to the Thompson Machine Operative C. I figure I'll probably just buy a whole gun instead of just the barrel. I think I'd rather avoid a 2 stamp gun, but I'm also a fan of paying once and crying once.

Where to buy one up the 75/575 North corridor?

I have the Operative in my Zimmerman Arms receiver - pics below. It is extremely quiet, accurate, and very easy to take apart and clean. But if I had to do it all over again, I would have bought the Operative S and SBR'd it. Either way though you can't go wrong. Let me know if you have any additional questions.

And I think Quiet Riot Firearms, on this board, may be a Thompson Machine Dealer. I bought mine direct and had it transferred when they first came out a couple of years ago.

I am in fact a TM dealer. I do not have any operatives at the moment, but I can certainly order one. If I were to buy one for myself, the TM one is the way I would go. It is absurdly quiet, ported, and super easy to take apart and clean. My price would be $849 for the complete C. I'd have to call and check to make sure they have some 10/22 base guns in stock though, I know they are out of TD's.

If it were me, I'd buy 2 1022's. One operative C, and one cheap as I could find 1022. SBR the cheap one and buy a charger threaded barrel for it, and put your Sparrow on it. That way you have the best of both worlds.

SRT is known to be very quiet, don't let the crappy website fool you.

But if you go the SBR route, you may as well get a detachable can, the only advantage to the integrals that I see is that is avoids the SBR stamp.

Also have you seen the TacSol SBX barrel for the ruger? it allows a detachable silencer to be screwed on without adding almost any length to the barrel and no SBR stamp. Granted it won't keep bulk pack subsonic.

Also if you want to keep bulk pack subsonic, consider getting a barrel from Clint Beyer of Beyer Barrels, he is doing my 4.75" barrel for my 22lr AR SBR which should keep bulk pack subsonic.

I must ask: What would be the purpose of porting a suppressed 22lr rifle?

the barrel ports into the tube that covers it to bleed speed, it keeps bulk pack subsonic. It does not port, like say a revolver blowing gases just out and about.

For example a MP5SD ports very early to keep 9mm NATO subsonic.

Anyone have experience with the Huntertown Arms Fusion T22?

I like the overall idea of the shrouded barrel concept that lets you get at the ports. But I can't find much info on this guy. There's 1-2 videos on youtube and then there's the same text about the barrel on every other link you find, "We talked to Steve from...". That's all you find.
