). Years ago, when me and my buds were stationed in Okinawa,we were all (most of us,anyway) buying relatively inexpensive, but top quality, Yamaha stereo equipment, and sending it home. The deal was that we had to wait a certain amount of time, and then we had some sort of resident status, and could send the stuff home without any import taxes. We had to wait the 90 days , and then affix a copy of our orders to every package, then we could send it home cheap.
