+P Ammo question

I came across a thread somewhere in time on the Internet where in a short barrel revolver there was minimal gain to justify the use of +P ammo. No reasoned for added recoil for a fractional increase.

I'd think it would holds true to most short pistols. Doesn't keep me from buying +p though.

Yep!
even the fastest handgun powder can't burn in that short of a barrel so typically you get a tremendous flash and loud bang and not to much increase in FPS.
even the so called short barreled design ammo really need 4-5 inches of barrel to work as advertised.
