Pawnshopping

You have to catch them when the power bill is coming due, that's when the'll negotiate a little more.

Buying multiple items also drives a better bargain.

I decided against my better judgement to stop by a pawn shop yesterday since they are the only place in town that carries stripped lowers. They had a Spikes stripped lower for $249 and a well used/worn silencerco sparrow for $500. **** pawnshops. Who wants to stand around trying to haggle with some bottom feeders when you can go to a reputable dealer and get the best price on a better product?

There isn't any standing around haggling. I know what I'm willing to pay. If that isn't agreeable, then I just keep on moving.

I'll hit 4 or five Pawn Shops in less than an hour. Sometimes I leave with nothing, and sometimes I'll have multiple firearms, chainsaws, hedge trimmers, etc.
I'll either ask them for their OTD price or make them an offer, and either take it or leave it.
Most of the shops I visit know me, and they know that if the price is right, I'll drop the cash. I ain't just window shopping.

Stripped lower for $249. hahahahahhahahahahahahhahahaha I hope you laughed. Seriously not all of them are the same. You need to find a good one. Shop in Lagrange has psa stripped lowers for like 69 or 79 . They have had that price for a long time and didn't change them after Orlando.

I know some of them are good. I've been to Cherokee, but they feel more like a gun shop who also just happen to do a few pawns too. Elite Pawn/The Gun Room is Conyers isn't too bad either. I can go in their gun shop and completely ignore the fact that it's attached to a pawn shop. But for the most part, pawn brokers are predatory. Bottom feeders at best.

Not all of us are that way. Just like Attorneys, bankers, cops, etc etc ;)

If you walk in a pawn shop and there is a lot of unchanging inventory, that's a good sign that most everything is overpriced.

I used to use Elite for transfers and have bought several guns there in the past. Hadn't been there in about a year was in the neighborhood recently and went in to look around. Went to the gun area, 2 or three guys there behind the counter, BSing with a deputy sheriff. Saw a couple of handguns I would have bought if one of the 3 had asked if I needed help. Instead they all acted like no one else was even there. I gave them another chance a month later with the same result. Guess I must look like a penniless bum!, no contact , no attention Won't be back

My F-I-L visits two or three times each year. We always spend a day going to the local pawn shops. He is originally from New Jersey and is always impressed with the amount of guns for sale.
