Peaches to Beaches

My junk can be your junk........
Somewhere on here are pics of a hoarder house I helped clean out in South Bibb Co back in 18 when we first moved back here. It wasn't dirty or bug infested or anything like that. But there was just useless **** stacked in every corner of every room. They guy who died there was obviously addicted to auctions cause everything had auction lot numbers on it . **** like giant tube TVs that nobody wanted. We filled a rolloff outside and local tweekers would be waist deep every time we showed up taking **** out of it. They apologized and offered to leave. I told them if it was in that rolloff then have at it.
Anyway we took most of the resellable **** back to my landlord's empty building in downtown Perry. Then I said to him "Who's the hoarder now?" And a lot of that **** is STILL there.

Then Inn is full! I don't want to die with a bunch of **** for people to deal with. I'm slowly downsizing, but damn there is still stuff everywhere!! I think stuff sneaks it's way back in after I clear a spot!

On my way to work this morning I saw a set of plastic shelves sitting by the road waiting for the trash truck. So of course I looped back around and threw them in the back of the raggedy old Hardbody. Got to work and took them in to use our screen wash sink and electric pressure washer. It looked like these had potted plants and maybe paint on them. So my boss asked what I was doing. I told him and I quote
"Sheeeit, you think a little dirt and paint gonna make me pass on $40.00 worth of shelves? You got any idea how much **** my ol lady has to store?"

Ouch. We do have 150yrs of antiques in our home. I think we'll have everything organized at some point. Just not much room for anything else. I've let my niece and nephew know everything in this house is worth money. So if they throw it away, they just threw money away. I told them to at least market it and sell it if nothin else. We're talking $5-10 a piece or more per item. NO tellin what it could be worth when we're gone

My Mom and stepfather dragged me to every flea market and antique shop between southern Michigan and Miami when I was growing up. They had a huge collection of furniture clocks dolls china etc. Since he died in 2020 my Mom has tried to sell a good bit of that stuff and nobody is buying. In fact it reminds me of baseball cards and Elvis collectibles. By that I mean that most of the people who recognized the value in that stuff are dead. So now what's left is just very expensive clutter.
