Pelican case customer service - Shoutout

I bought a pelican case off craigslist that had a broken latch. i called Pelican to buy a couple of new latches and they insisted on sending some for free. Even when i told them i bought it used, they stood by their lifetime replacement policy and sent them out free of charge.

New style or old style latches?
I'm finding the newer style are breaking more frequently.

By the age of the case, I would say older. Picture of the old one:

Those appear to be the newer style we keep breaking at work. That center piece breaks off but like you said, Pelican warrants them no questions asked.
The older style weren't as finger friendly and really popped closed/open but never had an issue with them other than the occasional sore finger!

I'm no Pelican authority either, we just have a lot of them at work and those are my observations.

It was the bigger, secondary piece that broke, not the center piece. The guy said they used these 7 days a week in the field open and close all the time for years. I think they will get me by only opening occasionally. Glad they took care of me. Really impressed in this day and age.
