There were at least two gunsmiths named Middleton. Most were in England, as referenced by Alleycat, however most English percussion guns did not use back action locks which your gun has. It was probably made by T.J. Middleton of Harveysburg, Ohio. Not having the gun in hand, I would probably value it at $250-300.
