Permeable driveway with plastic grid.

We used this in front of our garage and sodded over it. Installed about six years ago and starting last year we started having issues with drainage from all of the winter rains. Part of it is the slope of the area, but I suspect the clay beneath the grid has become compacted and prevents rain to drain off properly. Looks like I will be redoing it, but not sure how. I do not want a concrete pad there and gravel is not an option.

Why not just undercut the depth you want your pad, use geo fabric and cap with stone?
County regs. Have to "contain" it with a permanent border. My neighbor just threw some rock on the ground, and no one has said anything. I'm trying to fix up to sell and don't want to put in any potential problems. So I'm thinking the grid thing would look a little better/

I worked for Hazelhurst Mills/Amoco Fabrics for a few years and geotextile would be my first choice. If I was going to stay here, would be the way I'd go.

See post #12, GaMudd GaMudd , I;ve looked at that (grass) and it's intriguing .
