Picked up a cool vintage Ruger 10/22

Added this somewhat rare Ruger 10/22 to the stable. It's called a Sporter "Finger Groove" and was manufactured from 1966 to 1971. Ruger continued to make Sporter models after 1971 but without the finger groove. After doing a little research, these rifles command a premium when in good shape. I'm thinking about topping it off with same era Weaver scope. I can't wait to run some rounds through it.

I gave her a good cleaning last night and hit the stock with some orange oil and beeswax.

I have one from the mid '70s and one from the early '80s. Both have metal trigger groups, much better made than the ones made today.

It is nice and has the "semi Monte Carlo" stock... I just got a new one for my wife and it has high visibility sites on it
