Picked up this scope....Don't know anything about scopes...

Saw this this week at a garage/estate sale........no box no papers...just the scope....I don't do long rifles and I don't hunt...and growing up in my county in New Hampshire when I did hunt we could only hunt with shotguns....so I have zero knowledge of scopes. This one is big and long and it has a battery thingy on the top. I don't know how to turn it on...so don't know if the battery even works. I have 1 sks modified...already with a scope that came with the rifle....and thats it for me......so I need some help here....

By searching the serial number is shows that others have ran across this as a fake Leupold.

Same thing I found, would be cool for a kids .22 though.

older model leupold mark 4 m3. 40mm objective lens 3.5-10 magnification. looks to be tactical model with illuminated reticle (battery thingy). you tryin to sell this or mount it?

As long as the glass is clear , not cracked or seems normal i would use it! Can't be any worse than a simmons or tasco

Yep...100% Fake...However it doesn't mean it wont be a decent scope though... Some of those fakes come from china and are junk, others come from the Philippines and are half decent for their selling price....
How much did you pay for it? Hope you didn't get ripped off
