I have a ground blind and a tree stand in that area for use at different times and wind conditions but think I'll be spending more time in the tree this year

There's a 2000 acre hunting club across the street from my neighborhood in jasper. One of my neighbors is in the club, and his buddy shot a bear a couple weeks ago. Funny story, he's an older guy so he drives his 4 wheeler almost to his stand. Well this bear came out and he really didn't want to shoot the bear, so he was just watching it walk around. The bear saw his 4 wheeler and charged it, jumping on top of it and started attacking his seat, biting huge chunks of foam out of it. He shot the bear and dropped it right there on his quad. Talk about an easy drag! It was a 130lb bear so no monster but i would've done the same thing! He asked dnr if it was considered hunting over bait since he was eating his seat...lol
