Pinellas Co Sheriff pulls Adam Arms rifles from duty use....demands refund

“A deputy went to shoot one of the rifles at the range and when she pulled the trigger, nothing happened.”

Safety on? Tap, rack, bang?

No. It was a malfunction in the cycle of operations that prevented the rifle from firing while the sector switch was on “FIRE” and the trigger was pulled.

He compared Adams Arms to nine other brands, including giants such as Bushmaster and Ruger. In his comparison, he cited the manufacturer’s websites, online gun forums and Wikipedia.

This stand out to anyone else?

Rookie move. I bet he didn't even see if Hickok45 had a review on them.

Still, I wonder what was the cause of the malfunction? Bad firing pin? Weak hammer spring?

They had a lot of different issues with a lot of different rifles. It wasn’t a case of a single bad part that failed in multiple rifles. Many of the parts were unique to the piston system. #diforthewin
