Planning a cruise!

Oh, and I almost forgot...this is pretty critical for the small cabins...don't leave home without it!

Another vote for Alaska, I've been 15 cruises and both Alaskan cruises were my favorite. But if you're dead set on a Caribbean crusie its hard to beat st John, st maartin/st Martin, or st Lucia. As for the drinking package it depends on the ship your going on. Carnival makes everyone over the age of 21 in the room buy it where NCL, RC and Princess does not. And the drinking card on carnival is $51.99 + tip per person per day (so for my wife and I on our upcoming 8 day crusie it would be $955.XX). But the drinking pass for a 7 day on NCL currently is $799.00 (my uncle is getting off of NCL epic today).

So how much are drinks costing on these cruies? Don't tell me a 12oz bottle of Bud Light is $6?

Every bit of $6, you get a discount for buying a bucket but I don't recall the price. I remember a long Island being $12 on the last ship. If booking on carnival they will allow you to bring a 12 pack of soda per person and a 750ml bottle of wine on per person over the age of 21.

I understand you have to go through a metal detector on Royal Caribbean before you get on the ship. I'm driving down and will be carrying my pistol and probably parking at one of the hotels off the port that will give you free parking for the cruise when you book a room for one day. We are porting out of Canaveral. So, can I put my pistol is my packed luggage and be safe to have it? Don't want to leave it in the vehicle and don't want to drive all the way down south without it.
