Heck, you never sent me those pictures. That's a "tirer l'oiseau dans le cul" shotgun from Leige Bastogne. they were often used by French resistance fighters fighting the Germans. They often have a couple of dents on the barrel and toe of the stock were they were dropped when their owner ran away.

This is a French Shotgun made in ST. Etienne France. They were manufactured starting in 1864. I have one that was built in 1866 and it still shoots fine. I only shoot 2 3/4" standard shells. I would be leery of shooting any longer shells or magnum shells. Before shooting yours, I would have a gunsmith inspect it and verify it is safe to shoot. I have found these guns for anywhere from $900 to $10,000 depending on condition and market. Nice find.Pics
