Have you tried Bovril?Expensive ? Certainly not cheap. Quality varies a bit batch to batch, but I have had both better and worse in the UK.
If anyone knows of better source here in the US I'd love to try them.
I buy HP sauce 2 liters at a time and Marmite in 500g jars Taste of the old country.
