M1009 CUCV, diesel, 4 wheel drive, 24 volt, 1986 Chevy K5 Blazer, , not worried about EMP,s I carry the spare 4 parts one could damage if close enough. Also still has the M4 racks and troop seats. Also has night vision driving light, great with a NV monocular on a rhino mount on Kevlar helmet.

All I see are rolling targets. Even if one has bullet proof windows, the tires can still be shot out. after that is a waiting game till your head pokes out. You'll need to install a porthole to piss/***** out of.
Only thing a bug out vehicle does is scream supplies to anyone in need. Most likely if you need to bug out its already too late, since most roads will be loaded with people thinking the same thing or blocked with people who ran out of gas. How's the mileage in that H2 while doing 5-10 in the dirt/grass instead of 55 on the street? It'll cut your range down & then you could be stuck short from you destination.
If you want to bug out, best to trek it there in the woods away from any roads. Just prep your bug out location first & your supplies are already there. Just grab what ever you need to get there & your ready to roll. Less is more when hiking.
It'll suck more when your stranded & forced to leave most of your valuables behind unless you decide to hord up in a building close to your vehicle. By then you would have been better off at your home where you know your suroundings.

Sorry guys i dont need a bugout bag.im ex 18b i have enuf supplies toys and ammo to last me and a family of 10 for 5-6 years. all my kids know how to shoot ,hunt, fish, and cook and have also been trained in h2h combat. thay all know close quarter combat tactics so we are good to go. oh im forgetting 1 thing [Broken External Image]: for those really long shots
