Keep hearing them close by, maybe 1/4 mile or so but no luck.

Not out there this evening but I'm hearing more action after total dark (10ish). I think they can smell better than a deer. I have an acquaintance that finds a dog in heat & puts in on the back of the truck in a kennel. Moon will be better on July 9th. May start going again few days before & after. Still looking for a deal on a decent infrared scope.

Haven't had any luck with infrared night scoped lately but have called a few up in the evening before sunset. I shot one last week that came in HOT for a distressed fawn call. I actually just ordered a mouth call that's a distressed fawn to add an extra voice. Not mention we have had 2 or more does running around us like crazy whenever we use that call!
