So I dug out the old S&W PPC 6 inch barrel topped with a Bomar sight. I called around to my local gun stores asking about the worst condition 38 S&W revolver they had. They told me they had one that was dissembled and I could pick up cheap. When I got there the barrel was on it the frame. I let them break it loose in case the frame broke. Test fitted the barrel somewhat. So I picked it up cheap and the build is on. A lot of stuff to be done. Once the barrel is on the cylinder gap will have to be check for specs. Ejector rod housing might possibly need work. And a hole will be required on the top of the frame. So drill and tap work. Obviously metal finishing will be required. Here are the parts. Model 64 build or break....to be determined!!

A buddy of mine had one built like that years ago in Gulfport with an old Model 15 or 10 and it was a super-accurate gun. Would drop WCs into the same hole with boring regularity. It had an Aristocrat sight system on it.

well time will tell how this one shoots. Might be a minute if I can’t find a gunsmith that has the cone chamfering kit. If I have to buy it it will run around $150 for everything.

Check with Shannon Jennings at Arrowhead Pawn in Jonesboro, he's done a lot of Revolver work over the years and probably has the tools you need...BTW, he just started a week of vacation & won't be back in the store until 10/29...HTH...
