PPC revolver build

The gap gauge at .002 will not go between the barrel and cylinder. Even though it cycles smoothly, enough gap has to be present for the cylinder to rotate properly when it get dirty from firing. So barrel off for some more chamfering.

I have a set of unbranded K frame grips with no medallions. I also have a set of broken S&W target grips. The S&W medallions are a hair small. However a 38 special case rim fits perfectly in the medallion hole. Might see how that works out.

Barrel-Cylinder Gap should be .005--.006" for best results...At least, that's what the one PPC gun builder I know uses on his guns...


.002 will not go between them either. I probably should have listed it instead of the .015. I am going open it some more. It’s tight. You can barely see light between them.
