I saw a video posted regarding presses spitting primers on the floor even with a primer catcher. The solution was a strip of aluminum can about 3/8" wide formed into a U shaped channel. This goes in the slot in the press ram and allows the primer to fall through the ram. My Redding T7 was bad about this. A simple and free solution.

Did the same thing on my Lee Classic Cast. I annealed a piece of .308 brass and bent it into a little piece of channel and slide it into the slot to keep primers from spitting out the side of the ram. At first it was a Sprite can piece, but I like the look of the cartridge brass. It also has a little spring to it so it stays put.
