Price of eggs…

We always had between 10-20 chickens when I was growing up. I had to feed, water and collect eggs everyday. Come every so often I was commanded to ‘prepare’ a certain one.
This involved cutting its head off, plucking, gutting, cleaning as best as possible before giving it to maw. Usually for a Sunday dinner. They sure were good though !! We had good yardbirds , very healthy, plump and juicy ! Lol.
