If you are talking about the one in this thread, yeah it would be over the front sight post, but it would be too high so I would not get this deal for an AK.

If are using a PA red dot, on an Ultimak, you want the lowest base you can find. Either use the one that comes standard on the PA, or get a PA red dot with a removable base and replace with a low QD.

So on an ultimak rail on an ak it would be sighted in over the front sight post?

For an UltimaK rail you will either want a MD-06, MD-06L or an MD-07

At that price I just broke down and bought one and I dont even have a nekkid rifle to put it on. That is just a stupid price. The Strikefire does not compare in quality in any way to this one.

I ordered mine on Saturday and received it today. Could you imagine if PSA shipped like Primary Arms?! Mine came with the QD mount and I must say I'm pretty impressed so far. It looks to be very well made and the dot looks every bit as crisp to me as my Aimpoint PRO and the micro T1 I used to have. I won't keep this one on all the time but if it holds zero this will be quite the deal!
