I just acquired about 18 acres in Washington ga , had a question is it legal to hunt in your property without a hunting license, any restrictions ?what’s the best choice for deer hunting firearm and bullet wise

license not required for you or anyone living in your household
but
a Harvest Record is required for Deer & Turkey

but, if your son that lives next door, he must have a License to hunt on your property

{"what’s the best choice for deer hunting firearm and bullet wise"}
the answer can be endless
using a rifle = any centerfire rifle cartridge with an expanding bullet is required per the Regulations

We like to use 30-06 core loct ammo to hunt game in GA

Types of Licenses

RESIDENT HUNTING, COMBO OR SPORTSMAN’S LICENSE is required for all resident hunters 16 years of age or older, except when hunting or fishing on one’s own land or land owned by immediate family (blood or dependent relationship) residing in the same household.

There is no charge for a harvest record in Ga. You can download it from where you would buy your hunting license..Get the migratory bird stamp and that migratory survey stamp while you are at it.

Gotta keep the bunny cops happy.
