proper sling for a sporter rifle

i acquired a sporterised mosin m91 in trade and it lacks a sling, i assume this was was made in mid 60s to 70s. What type of sling would the budget minded hunter who would buy this rifle commercially use with it back in the 60s-70s?

it has the swivel studs installed as pictured, the studs have the glossy finish on them so they seem age appropriate
