The assumption of the film is that without Big-Daddy Government, we would all instantly devolve into (Lord of the Flies)³. I do not agree. If laws were suspended for 12 hours, I would open a new business and buy Class III weapons/accessories. It would be the only time of the year I could bypass all of the asinine laws and regulations. Heck, I might even tear the tag off my mattress.

That said, the movie looks like it could be fun to watch.

People crazy enough to commit murder for the things you've described don't need a "holiday". They can do it (and do do it) 365 a year. Unless you are simultaneously attributing them with the insanity to commit the murder and the sanity to abstain due to legality?

That's what I'm gathering from simply watching a preview. Do you not agree that the rate would increase if said crazy people knew that no legal consequences would occur?
