"Q" firearms. Quality or marketing hype?

Really super slick marketing (they do make cool swag bags - graphics - marketing materials - etc
) for a niche im not in (very over priced brand) - terribly inconsistent quality control on the suppressors and firearms

I like it. Just wish they’d do a .300 AAC.

There’s the SOLO 300 straight pull upper receiver. Slap on an AR lower, and you’ve got a straight pull bolt action, and requires no buffer tube to function, making it easy to fold.

I have no personal experience with these.

Do you care to share why you say they over priced?

It’s a lot of money for essentially a 2 MOA gun. I guess you’re buying one for it being handy. Recoil and on staying target is horrible. I don’t know what you would buy one for at that price when you can get a custom rifle to meet your needs. That’s my experience with them anyway. I’m not saying there isn’t a market for it. I’m just saying I wasn’t impressed for a $3200 rifle.

I bought a can of paint for my wife that was mixed by the RAL# and the company put the name winterpine on it I painted the room. When my wife came home and said it was not the right color I said bummer and went back to the paint store the technician reprinted the sticker with the name seafoam green and stuck them on. The formula was exactly the same but the names per brand were different. I told my wife I went back and got the right color and she said THANK YOU I love it dont you I said yes. If you value name brand on paper lab performance specs finish selection cool name and concept a Q Fix is worth 3000.00 (this could be a honey badger trash panda etc....) if you value how the rifle shoots or suppressor works odds are good you wont I got a bad rifle (in fairness I bought a great used one first) and a bad mount/suppressor from Q and with a couple attempts to make it good it got better but not resolved I have bought and shot Q, Savage, Ruger, Tikka , Springfield, Sig so disregarding unnecessary decoration and compromising features they are over priced but for a Q they seem right on price point and they do have a unique name look and features.

First time I’ve ever seen this!

You could build an upper around that for not much at all, and I’m sure you’ve already got lowers lying around. Build it out, see if you like it and how it shoots. If it ain’t for you, you won’t be out much, and most of it can be re-purposed.

I’m failing to understand why it’s overpriced by this response.
The only thing you reiterated is: a person who doesn’t understand and is uneducated on the product will always believe it’s the same product even when it isn’t.

Agreed. You’d REALLY have to prioritize size, weight, and being a bit unique over actual capability in the field for this to make sense.

If you were a bush pilot regularly flying over remote areas….maybe.
