Question about feeding/baiting?

I laid out some persimmon crush in a few spots...just a little strip of it here and there’s near some cameras.
In two spots the deer ate it all up first day but it grew a hairy looking white mold where the residue must have remained in the dirt.
I tasted that stuff from the bag...dang man that stuff is like candy.
If I knew it was safe I’d sprinkle some in my darn breakfast cereal...lol.
