Quick question about Primitive Weapons/Muzzleloaders and Either-Sex dates

Hello.

My understanding is that with Archery you can hunt Either-Sex during the whole season.

What about muzzleloaders? Can you hunt does during the whole season, including the 'Firearms' period, or just during the week of 'Primitive Weapons' and then only during the allowed dates within the general 'Firearms' period?

same rules as gun season except for Primitive Weapons season

Thanks. I was thinking about buying two muzzleloaders for my son and I, but now I am wondering what would be an OK budget for two guns and optics we are going to use for hunting only one or two times each year .
