Quitting tobacco

What you are experiencing is nicotine withdrawal. Been there! I've been quit for 7 years now and still want a dip. Try to hold out, but before going back to the can, get you some nicotine lozenges. Easier to ween off of those!
On my doctor's insistence "quit or die" I finally stopped smoking after decades of pipe and cigar enjoyment.
It's been well over 10 years since I hung it up but whenever I'm watching an old movie and someone lights their pipe or cigar those old cravings return.
Once an addict always an addict is what they say, you just have to put your family, health and longevity above your desires.

I understand completely- quit after 15+ years cold turkey- I was an asshole for 5 years commuting to Birmingham daily for work and decided to get a can of Copenhagen- that was 15 years ago and haven’t considered quitting again……. Probably should but it’s actually my mechanism for dealing with other people and not eating all day long………. Good luck and no matter what don’t start back!!
