Radio losing reception in 1993 Jeep

Any idea why my auto radio, bone stock, loses reception when I am beyond 8 miles from my home? Reception comes back when I get closer to home. Radio gremlin?

Probably worth more than my Cherokee. I am a bare bones guy. Talk radio is all I need in the car.

Is this something new? Or has it been happening? Do you have HID lighting on your jeep?

Eight miles in any direction or just one way?

Also, do you have LED headlights?

Could be a failure in the radio or you could have an issue with the antenna or the antenna connection.

Unless you live on top of a mountain that takes 8 miles to descend, that makes absolutely no sense. Soooo.... in for answer.
