Find a white oak tree. Those are the preferred acorns and they are dropping now. Have been seeing my horses and local deer feeding on them the last 2 weeks. This rain will really knock them out of the trees.

For the first time I scouted my newest hunting area yesterday. I found plenty of sign within minutes.
1 massive scrape, 10+ rubs, scat everywhere, breaks in thick brush....
I don’t think corn is needed at this time, just gotta find that Pine Donkey during daylight and the monster will be right behind.
The rain has easily cleared my scent... It’s on Sat/Sunday!

Working Mon-Thur nights this week and heading to in-laws on Saturday-Monday. Looks like a lot of my hunting is over for our property as we seldom see anything late in the season. Maybe I'll try to hunt the second small rut and see if anything is still looking for love.
To be considered a rain forest an area must receive 75 inches of rain annually. My tally from the weather station in my yard shows 72.16 for the year. We should hit 75 before the weeks out.
