Ram mount

Don't have them mounted on a boat but thats the mount our electronic log books are mounted with in the trucks. 18 mounts. Rock solid and a driver hasn't damaged one since installed at least a year ago. That sir is a testament to durabilty. Some of those fellows can/will break anything.
I appreciate the info, I've got me a couple on the way, hopefully they'll be good to go.

Got a Hook2 5 with navionics & down scan up front and a Hook2 7 with navionics, down and side scan at the console, probably going to get a better one at the console later this spring.

Putnambuck Putnambuck here are my mounts that will give idea.i have a larger mount for 9 as you can see.

I personally don’t like the ball type ram mounts. They don’t hold my Elite TI 9” unless I got a really large one. I sent my back and ended up with a different style of mount. I believe it was still made by RAM but I will have to look. My brother fishes the Midwest BASS pro-am circuit and has some high dollar electronics and he don’t use them either. I guess for small to midsize stuff they would be just fine but when you mount a bigger unit on them and drive down the road or take some good waves your stuff will move.
