Fine day to take 3 of my favorites out and send a couple hundred rounds down range. Had the place pretty much all to myself most of the day. Nice range, been there a few times, great price (free) . RSO's are usually really good.

Yep. Made the mistake of going to Chestnut Mtn. WMA one time. Never again. No RSO's and usually some knuckleheads...I love that place. Some of the best RSO's with no egos I've come across. Especially a WMA range.
Nice facility overall.
Yes Sir, it is 1.5 hours without traffic, which is why we only go 2 - 3 times a year, but it's worth the trip. We also try to go to Gun Sight Hills in Lexington once a year, that's 2.5 hours but alot of fun shooting 700 yards!

Yes, no charge to GA residents, only catch is you just have to have a DNR fishing license, which I have, and it's free. Or a hunting license works too. Just check the requirements here:It's free now?
Last time that I went (about a month ago) the sign in sheet didn't have the field to enter your GA DNR license number anymore.
