The 911 operator is going to ask about the nature of the injury. The magic phrase "training accident" isn't going get around that, and it is going to be obvious that guns are involved.

We had a negligent discharge in our office about a week after the Sandy Hook shooting. Co-worker shot himself right through the tibula with a new 1911. We called 911 and I don't remember exactly how we described it but I think every cop in Atlanta came to the office in about ten minutes. They then spent hours interviewing all of us separately to see if our stories matched. Fun times.
