Go buy a yugo and be done with it. Best option for entry level AKs that are factory produced IMO. Polish tantal is worth a look as well.

what has the feedback been like thus far on the PSA Aks?

So far everyone loves them, haven't heard a negative thing about the new models. It did really well when the AK47 operator union youtube fellow put 5,000 rnds through it. Bolt still would not close on a nogo gage and that's where the RAS47 failed. Sign up for the PSA email notifications if you guys are interested. Last several times I've been notified they were in stock when I looked. I was thinking of buying the kit version for $379, heck you can't buy a good parts kit that cheap and I have enough stock parts to finish it.

I have a WASR and like it. I have no complaints about it. Runs everything and shoots great. Wouldn't be selling it if i wasn't having a kid lol

I don't feel to strongly about the RAS47 one way or another, but don't see the point in scooping one up when there are other (subjectively) better rifles out there for about the same coin. The PSAK47 has a billet trunnion and bolt, the NPAP has a solid reputation and good pedigree - all for about the same price. If the RAS47 was about $400 OTD, I would probably scoop one up though.

I am not much in the AK game,but I have the NPAP. No issues with it, eats everything I feed it and surprisingly accurate with the irons. Always heard about the inaccuracy of them. The only thing to my understanding on the NPAP is I don't believe they are compatible with a lot of the aftermarket patrts like the others, but some of the fellas here could fill you in more than I could

On the flip side, AK-OU had some negative experiences with the N-PAP as well. They killed it dead within 2-3000 rounds if I remember right.
