Does anyone have a recommended load and best practice for finding the correct node for a .338 Edge? Its got a 28 inch, remington varmint contour, 1:10 twist, shilen select match. I *believe* its throated for 300 grain SMKs.

It's not different than any other cartridge. Run charges over a chronograph to find a node, fine tune with seating depth
With components being expensive I thought there could be a way to find it quicker.
I’ll ask a guy tomorrow he’s on his 11th or 12th edge barrel lol he’s got a standard load to start that’s carried over from barrel to barrel that’s shot decent in all. The only reason I know all this is I asked the same from him since components are high and barrel life is short. I believe it’s a 300 Berger and retumbo and I know he anneals every time.

I got it mounted on my PRS rifle. I have a bunch of guns I swapped scopes on so I will hopefully get out to zero them all this weekend. I have a match march 5th that I’ll use it in.
