One more question, sorry to bring this thread back to the top. What are yalls opinions on full size vs compact concealed carry? I'm 6'2 150 pounds so "concealed" is pretty much impossible, and I would really rather a full size for the larger mag's just in case. So how big of an issue is it to carry a g19 compared to a shield when concealed carrying. Is having the smaller size and it being FULLY concealed extremely important? Or if there is a bit of a bulge in my shirt from having the larger gun not such a huge deal? Thanks guys.
Full size in the winter and compact in the summer. I carry and LCR or a Keltec in the summer and a Glock 21 or XDM 9 in the winter.

not very big. not really. no. Govt. 1911 all year long

Any of you guys ever use Brownells.com. I've bought a few things from them over the years. Always did me right. I used to order one of there AR15 catalogs every year but haven't in last couple of years. It was free and had lots of ideas in it. 20141124_143745.jpg They have lots of stuff like Midway and CTD but don't seem to hear anyone talk about them here on ODT very often like over on some of the AR specific web sites.

"Locally" there's Cherokee Gun and Pawn in Canton and Georgia Gun Store in Gainesville. Both shops have GREAT selection and pricing if you don't want to mail order.

I carry a compact 1911 in cooler months.

gee, don't just say ****CTD and not tell him why. CTD screwed the gun community right after the Sandy Hook shootings, raising prices overnight thru the roof. AR magazines which were $15 one day were $99 the next and the same crap with guns and ammo, so yes, F*** CTD.
