Red dot your ccw? Or stick with irons?

Irons. In self defense you're gonna be point shooting so optics are like aglets on q carry weapon to me. Theyre there, they serve a function, but noone knows why.
I used to think like this, until I just up and put a red dot on. Bad breath shooting is the same, but it shines in any scenario beyond that. Very, very superior.

I have 2 different CCW's I like. My Glock 42 has irons. They seem to come up to my eye really fast, and the other is a Remington RM 380 with a CT Lazer.

it's really cool you've gotten to pick which gunfights you're going to being before they happen. That does make gear selection easier, for sure.

I can shoot fast as heck in close with a dot AND I can make a headshot at 50 yards with it, on the same gun. Makes sense to me to plan for the worst and hope for the best, but be ready for either
Never been in a situation that requires my ccw and hope It never presents itself. But come time to pull the trigger, the perp is gonna be close enough to where no sights would be effective in most situations. No collateral dam

-Damage is key. Mainly lack of.Plus, I think I want to be able to look someone in the eye, if possible, just before one of us meets our maker if it comes to that. So I damn sure aint tryin to make head shots at 50 yds, with my edc. And I dont plan on being the one carried by six. But you just never know till you find yourself there. Kick all that hollywood **** out of your mind. And be the best you can be, with what you call your EDC.

P320 Compact with RDS is just as easy to carry as G19 for me.
P365XL with RDS is no different than Taurus G2C with irons.
I carry both, with RDS and without, depending on my mood.
