Refreshing Your Get Home Bag

While it's a dark dreary day outside, I took the opportunity to do a refresh of items in my 3 GHBs. The one in my adult daughter's car was way out of date so I feel good about getting her's back up to snuff.

I replace items like flash light batteries, food/energy bars and any drinking water.

How often do you do this and what items do you replace?

The all knowing Internet says the water doesn't go bad but the plastic bottle will begin to breakdown and leach chemicals into the water.

The weather made me think of it. The need is greater this time of year. I did add a full mag off ammo in my daughters bag for her G19. She had spare ammo, but a full mag is so much easier and quicker should she need it.

Just rotate it out and use the older.

I usually make coffee with the older

I don't have water in my bag but have a water filter and a water bladder. I typically throw some bottles of water in the truck at the beginning of every week. Cuts down on soda stops and keeps water rotated.
