So I used my back up for a while, which yes has never failed, and since I had nothing to lose I opened up the dillon scale and put it back together and magically it works. Got lucky this time. Thanks for all the advice.

I have done this a couple of times to a paper shredder and a postal scale that came from the office where my wife works.
I don't know what I did to fix them but I told her I had to open them and let the gremlins out.

My Lyman has balls or something in it also. Maybe there to calibrate or make the pan bottom heavy to help stabilize I guess

Went to use my Dillon D-terminator scale last night and I couldn't get it to Cal. Called Dillon to find that I purchased it in JUL16 so it's three months outside of its one year warranty so it will not be covered. I can exchange it plus $80 to get a new one. Until this Dillon customer service has been top notch. All of this to say any recommendations on a more reliable digital scale? Or should I exchange the Dillon scale?
