Remember Ed's Gun & Tackle in Alpharetta?

It's long gone and Ed passed away but does anyone remember the last name of the gunsmith?
His first name was John and I believe he has also passed away.

You mean Ed's Gun & Tackle of Roswell, which had a fire in the early 1980s and relocated to Northeast Cobb county off of Hwy 5 by East Piedmont ?

That business has been there ever since, but Ed Mortimer, the owner, died in the late 1990s and now the place is under new management. It's called Georgia Firing Line and it's run by a guy named Dan Kannamann (spelling?).

I don't know who their regular gunsmith was but Ted Mortimer--one of Ed's sons-- still works at Georgia Firing Line as a gunsmith for the air rifles --he's an airgun expert.

I called GA Firing Line and learned that Ted Mortimer has passed away also.
They told me that Ed's gunsmith was John Atkins. He was a great one.
