Does anyone know an approximate value for a remington 1100 manufactured may 1978 with a 28" barrel?

Never seen that mag tube extension.

I paid $400 for my 11-87 Premier when I lived in NJ, got it for a great deal. I paid $350 for a 1100 from a pawn shop and its in decent condition, high gloss wood but its not like my 11-87, no interchangeable choke, etc but they are both great shotguns. I've seen 11-87s on here for $500-$600.

Early 1100's you would purchase different barrels with built in chokes... like my slug barrel, 28" RV and 26" RV full both in 3". I have the Magnum receiver...

I'd say sadly between 350-450 depending on bluing and handling marks.

The 1187 replaced the 1100 with screw in chokes and then the reproduced the 1100 years later with chokes.

Hard to beat a good 1100 if you have a good gunsmith and common sense replacing the rubber tube bands
