Remington Express gun safe

Remington does not stand behind it!!!! Had the same safe, same thing happened called Remington they told me they did not even make the safe!?!? A china company did and no longer is available. I asked why didn't they produce the safe? They told me they just sell their good name to any company for a stake in the product. I told them it was very misleading as I bought the safe because I thought it was a Remington product. The rep laughed and said that they were not the only company in the US with a good name that markets their trademark/name brand. I asked if they were going to warranty the safe and was told NO. I expressed that I was not happy and was mislead. He apologized and told me in a nut shell I was SOL. I expressed I was going to contact the BBB in NY where the business (Remington resides) and I did with a complaint towards the company with a BBB agent. The agent submitted the info and told me the process of they Remington would have 60-90 days to reply with a resolution. I received a email after 90 days stating that their was no reply resolution. Now they have a bad consumer rating from my self and others on their record. This a prime example how cocky Remington and other use to be reputable companies are using their use to be good name to dupe quality consuming customers. Just thought you guys needed to be aware. Buyer beware!!!!

Were you ever able to get your safe open? If so, how: Inquiring minds would like to know.
 
Yea was able to get it open fairly easily, with a hammer and flat head screwdriver. Then sold it to a gentleman here the safe only for 150. 00 bucks he said he was going to rehab the cabinet. To me it was worthless only paid 200 for the cabinet from the git. So I came out ok I guess
 
I personally think if someone don't put a price on something after they have been contacted within a couple of hours yank it!!!! reguardless of who it is, including myself.
