Heard an interview with their marketing guy and he mentioned 'headquarters' being in LaGrange. I thought they were still in NY but I guess they got smart.

It sounds like only the shotguns are being made in Ilion these days.

Didn't know that. Glad they decided to start getting out of NY.

Hope they are successful - be a shame for the Remington name to disappear.

They need to stick to their main line and not try to be everything for everyone. I think that is part of what got them into trouble. Above all - make sure quality and reliabilty are built into each product before it leaves the factory - or they will never recover.

I honestly think they are good for a while. All RemArms makes is the rifles and shotguns now, so they are out of all the side businesses and can focus just on guns.

They are also debt-free now, and owned by a 'gun guy' (supposedly), not a group of bankers and hedge funds just looking to extract as much as they could from the company before leaving it to die.

The information I am seeing is that they were bought by Roundhill Group which is a venture capital company, much the same as Cerberus. One of the partners in Roundhill owns a company that makes paintball guns but I don't think that makes them "gun guys". I am withholding judgment till I see what happens with RemArms.
