Riddle me this engine builders

You cant really get a true reading like that. You need a set up with two dial indicators.
You press on one side of the piston and rotate the engine until the side you are pressing on reaches peak lift. Then balance the piston until both indicators read equal amounts.
I’ve tried to rock it by hand at tdc and theres no movement. I’ll throw my indicators on it again to make sure. I havent had time to work on it since my original post. At this point, Im guessing the factory cut deck is out of square.
Yep, that’s a problem. Throw it away and get a new one. J/K
Are you sure you’re taking the measurements on the center line of the wrist pin?
No, my measurements were in the same axis as my parallel or 90 degrees to the wrist pin.
