I just cut my rifle in a Cabela’s case and drove 11 hrs with it sitting upright. When I opened it up I had serious rub marks on various places. Anyone ever had a case rub off the coating on their scope or rifle? Any tips on what’s going on?
If you used a hot wire to cut the foam, that could be melted foam residue on the scope and rifle. It should clean off. Need to check and see if your foam edges are stiff.
Fix your mounting. Bridging the receiver and handguard is a recipe for problems. Also, you mount is backwards. The cantilever should be forward with the objective
